  • 150g ground kuaci (pumpkin seeds)
  • 100ml water

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 180℃. Meanwhile, make the filling by mixing the ground almond, sugar, ground kuaci and water together in a bowl.

2. In a separate mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, egg, and water together. Stir the ingredients together until it becomes a smooth and thick batter. Add in the pandan essence and vanilla essence if desired.

3. Take a small amount of the kuih batter and shape it into a bowl shape using your hands. Add in the filling and seal the edges to create a ball of kuih.

4. Place the kuih onto a lined baking tray, and repeat the steps for the remaining mixture.

5. Bake the kuih in the oven for approximately 15-20 minutes, or until its golden brown. Once done, let it cool before serving.
